Since it is a WiFi network your smartphone will automatically connect each time you re-visit the store. AT&T first launched WiFi at Saks Fifth Avenue’s NYC flagship location in November of 2011, and now they have expanded the in-store WiFi to all 44 retail stores! Customers at the locations average over 19,000 connections a day, they have used over 17 million megabits of data, usage increased by more than 30% during the holiday season, and the NYC flagship store is the most popular place to connect with a total of around 1.5 millions connections made! Saks Aims to Create a More Connected, Interactive Shopping Experience for Customers
NEW YORK, SEPTEMBER 12, 2012 — Saks Fifth Avenue shoppers now have more options when it comes to sharing new purchases and reviews. As part of a corporate initiative to create a more connected, interactive shopping experience for customers, Saks Fifth Avenue announced that it has launched AT&T Wi-Fi at all 44 retail locations nationwide.
The AT&T Wi-Fi network connects shoppers with mobile tools such as the new Saks Fifth Avenue app, which offers features such as sharable wish lists, fashion look books, event calendars and more. With the ease of AT&T Wi-Fi, AT&T customers with select Wi-Fi enabled devices will auto-authenticate to the in-store Wi-Fi service, so frequent shoppers will be automatically connected to Saks Fifth Avenue’s Wi-Fi each time they re-visit the store.
Saks Fifth Avenue first launched AT&T Wi-Fi at its flagship store in New York City in November 2011, and has expanded availability to more stores on an ongoing basis. Since the initial launch, Wi-Fi users have made more than five million connections to the in-store network.
