Much has changed since last week in San Marcos, much has changed to say the least. Without any further ado, let’s got on with this review.

With that being said, Spoiler’s do lie below. If you don’t want to spoil it, I suggest you come back after you have watched the episode Filibuster.

We open up with Archer in a jail cell and Lana delivering his meal, it’s only been three weeks, but Archer thinks it been a lot longer. Then we learn that Cyril is now in power and Gustavo and his first lady are in the jail cells next to him. Archer seems to think him and Gustavo are swinger pals, but Cyril wants the first lady back upstairs. And it turns out he can command an army pretty well, as the rebels still haven’t won.

It appears that Cyril is looking for marriage and his answer is the first lady. It turns out that Cyril is a good leader, he has taken back the “co-co leaf” farms from the rebels and Pam is quite happy. Malory is quite happy in San Marcos, she points out that while Lana wants to go back, the US government took everything away from her. Cherlene is the first lady of country music with her slogan being “Outlaw Country”! She then goes down to jail cells, to rescue and play for, like Jonny Cash, the prisoners Archer and Gustavo. They want to escape but haven’t figured out the plan just yet, but lucky for them Cherlene brought the key. We then go to Dr.Krieger and they are working on their warhead, and they have their own unique catchphrases like “clone bone”.

Next we see that Cherlene, Archer, and Gustavo have gotten in a car worth one-quarter of one million dollars and are on the road, and they almost hit into the zoo entrance, but luckily Cherlene screams and they stop just in time. Then Cyril makes things official and marries the first lady, Pam gets very emotional and announces she’s addicted to cocaine. Archer is quite excited about the tiger, as if we go back in the season, we know he really wants. Cherlene decides to name the tiger and Dr.Krieger is trying to figure out where the missile is launching too. Then he stops them from doing the launch sequence and we see a different side of Krieger, one that can really fight and while he falls off the launch building, he does stop them. Cherlene breaks the lock off the tiger cage and the tiger decides to maul Gustavo and most likely injure him a lot, probably killing him.

Dr.Krieger then sets off on trying to stop the launch sequence, then Archer and Cherlene head to the airport to the rebel headquarters. Cyril is having his first dance and everyone but Pam has a dance partner. Krieger comes back and tries to get some help, but then they realize no one has really noticed his absence. He then shows them the missile and Cyril is upset he wasn’t told that there is a missile, Pam then votes to kill Krieger as she believes him to be a vampire or Count Krieger.

Archer pulls up to the rebel headquarters, but they almost immediately get taken hostage, both him and Cherlene. But first, we learn the rocket is filled with nerve gas and Ray tries to fix it, but makes it worse by accelerating it. Lana then tells Cyril they need to get Archer, but he has left the jail cell and we learn that Lana should have probably been the leader. Cyril then learns Archer left and that they went to go join the rebels, Lana gets sent out to the airport. Archer then learns and sees who is leading the rebels, it is Holly and Slater, who turns out don’t work for the FBI but for the CIA. They are both the CIA and Rebels, then Lana comes in and it turns out her water just broke.

Quite an ending and they end it with a cliffhanger again, with only one episode left in this monster of a season, we still have a lot questions and boy has the plot changed. There have been characters arches, plot twists, role changes, and of course countless cliffhangers. Like the one we are left with after episode 12, be sure to tune in next week for the most likely dramatic and comedic conclusion to season 5 of Archer!
