SNL Says Reports Of Kenan Thompson Leaving Are Inaccurate

Earlier today, rumors and speculation of SNL cast member Kenan Thompson leaving the show after this upcoming season. We reached out to NBC for comment and have recited the following:

SNL spokesperson said this report is inaccurate as the season hasn’t even started and cast decisions aren’t made until the end of the season.

This falls in line with how other cast members such as Kristen Wig, as they announced they were leaving the show at least during the middle of the season. Keep in mind that season 40 of Saturday Night Live, has not yet started. We will have to wait until the end of the season for all cast decisions to be made. In the mean time we can look forward to first episode of SNL season 40, which starts on September 27th with host Chris Pratt and musical guest Ariana Grande!
