Update: AT&T has updated the post with more information on this in store preview. The preview will be taking place in 125 AT&T retail stores starting this Friday, September 26th 2014. While it is not every single store, and unfortunately not one location in New Jersey, it will be available for you to preview in quite a few AT&T locations. AT&T has announced they will be selling the device, but we do not know exact pricing or availability. We have reached out to AT&T and Samsung in regards to this and will update this article again if we hear back.

Earlier this evening T-Mobile announced that they will be selling the Samsung Gear S coming this fall, but AT&T has just dropped an interesting announcement. They have unveiled that AT&T retail stores will be previewing the Samsung Gear S. No word on if they will be selling it or what this preview of the device will entail, but they have left the body of the release with a “Coming Soon!” message. We have reached out to AT&T and Samsung in regards to when this preview will be beginning and if they will be selling the device. If or when we heard back from either AT&T or Samsung, we will be sure to update this article.

The Samsung Gear S is one of the first wearable that is a standalone device, as it has a 3G antenna built-in. It features a curved 2-inch Super AMOLED display and a flexible band or wrist strap, it is uniquely design to fit very comfortably on the wrist of the user. The display will be customizable along as a customizable wrist band, allowing you to create a style that matches yours. It also has both 3G and Bluetooth connectivity built right in. This means even when you are away from your smartphone, you can still see updates, get notifications, and use all of the features of the device. Unlike the Moto 360 and the G Watch R, the Gear S is running TIZEN, which is of course Samsung’s own operating system. This means that the application election is smaller and that it will most likely only work with other Samsung devices. With that being said you do get turn-by-turn walking directions via HERE. S-Health and Nike+ Running is on board as well, this way you can still use it for health tracking as well.
