Verizon Wireless has the a lightning fast 4G LTE network and like every year, the Super Bowl is an event that put the network to the test. Super Bowl XLIX was no different, in the end the New England Patriots ended up beating the Seattle Seahawks in Arizona. The network was handling around 25,000 connections per minute for a total of over 25 billion connections throughout the game. There was a total of 4.11 Terabytes of data used at the game with over 46,000 Verizon devices in the stadium. More than half of the data used was from smartphones and over 90% of the data was 4G LTE. Around 10 millions emails sent, 1.9 million web pages loaded, 122,308 videos sent, and 3.67 billion messages sent during the game.
