Attention all music lovers! Hold on to your socks because they’re about to be blown away. Regular keyboards? Thing of the past. ROLI has announced a new product called the “Seaboard GRAND” and it is sure to catch the eye of anyone who is interested in music, producing, or recording.

Featured at CE Week NY 2015, the Seaboard GRAND is a revolutionary keyboard that prides in expression. Responding to intuitive gestures, the Seaboard GRAND responds to more than a normal keyboard would. ROLI has done away with the limitations of standard keyboards, allowing for the user to express him/herself through presses, bends, and slices on the keyboard providing an extremely unique sound. Some of the features include continuous touch, intuitive pitch control, and glissando ribbons. Other than the one sound control, the volume can be controlled by the pressure of the user’s touch, allowing him/her the freedom of expression as well as range of sound and intensity. Able to be connected to software music applications, the Seaboard GRAND is predicted to produce a wide range of music with limitless options as to genre.

The Seaboard GRAND is available in 3 models; Studio, Stage, and Limited First Edition ranging from $1,999, $2,999, and $8,888 respectively. Granted, there is something special about a classic piano and the sound of a standard keyboard, but this concept can only expand on our already wide knowledge of music and entertainment as technology becomes more in depth and extensive. We are excited to see more about the Seaboard GRAND and from its founder ROLI.
