GoPro makes capturing the awesome more accessible with $199.99 HERO+ Camera

GoPro has already made the HERO4 Session more accessible by knocking $100 off the price, but they are not done yet. They will be making it less expensive to capture the awesome with the cheaper $199.99 HERO+ Camera. This new HERO camera will still let you capture both photos and video, but will also let you share your awesome moments with the world. The HERO+ camera is launching on October 4th and will be available from select retailers and GoPro’s online store.

GoPro’s HERO+ camera brings with it many core features of any of the companies action cameras. The camera itself comes with ultra-durable waterproof housing which GoPro is known for and will let you take the HERO+ with you where ever you go. The HERO+ camera will record 1080p video at 60 frames per second and 720p video at 60 frames per second, plus it features SuperView which will let you get the most immersive field of view possible. It has an 8 megapixel lens which can capture single photos, time lapses, and 5 photos per second when in Burst mode.

WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity come standard on the HERO+ and this will let you control the camera from the GoPro application your smartphone or via the Smart Remote. The camera will also be compatible with GoPro’s large amount of accessories, which includes many mounts. With QuickCapture you can start recording with the action camera as soon as you turn it on, plus with HiLight Tag you can mark key moments while recording.
