Every year, sometimes in the summer, but more recently in the Fall we have seen the refresh of the popular Droid lineup on Verizon. For the past few years and for the years to come Verizon has partnered exclusively with Motorola to make these devices. Evan Blass, who you might know from @evleaks, is back with yet another inside scoop, this time around he is showing off the upcoming devices.

On October 27th, which is this coming Tuesday, Verizon will be unveiling there latest Droid’s and they have begun to tease them on the company’s official Twitter. While we already have a teaser video, we are now have the names of the devices and some press renders. Incoming on Tuesday we have the Droid Turbo 2 and Droid Maxx 2. We have three variants of the Turbo 2 and two versions of the Maxx 2.

The Droid Turbo 2 will supposedly have a shatter proof screen, which goes along with the idea of being Droid tough. Overall, both devices look like that of the Nexus 6 and even of the latest Moto X devices, including the dimple on the back with the motorola logo. They seem to be keeping a customized user interface with a nice lock and weather widget.

Verizon has continued to tease the devices on Twitter with already two short videos. It appears that the Droid MAXX 2 will continue with the trend of the Maxx devices having excellent battery life.

Everything will be confirmed come Tuesday, but it seems that Verizon will be running a special offer to get people to upgrade to the devices. Even by allowing trades in of cracked phones, allowing you to upgrade to a Maxx 2 or a Turbo 2.
