VZ_logo_640x400

After the tragic events in Belgium this morning, Verizon is making both calling and texting free. The company is now offering free wireless and wireline calls to Brussels and Turkey. Verizon has expressed there condolences to those affected by the tragedy.

Customers will not incur any charges for texts or international long distance calls originating from the U.S. to Belgium on March 22 and 23, 2016, and from the U.S. to Turkey from March 19 and 20, 2016. This is being retroactively put into effect since the start of today, so the charges should be removed from the accounts.

For wireline customers, you will have no charges to Belgium from their U.S. landlines on March 22 and 23, 2016, and from the U.S. to Turkey on March 19 and 20, 2016. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims in Belgium and Turkey.
