Redbox To Take On New Opponent

After months of testing, Redbox has now unveiled its plan to let customers rent video games on the Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii for only $2 per night.  Redbox started in 2003 with a couple of kiosks, and now has grown to one of the largest DVD distributors in the U.S. Redbox originally only rented DVDs, but now has included blu-ray DVDs , and is now starting to rent video games. Redbox  is a huge competitor of Netflix, and now it can become a threat to Gamefly. This is due to the speed, ease of use, convenience and low-cost of Redbox.  Redbox has 25,000 Kiosks located at Shop-Rites, McDonalds, 7-Eleven, Wall-Mart, and many other places around the U.S.  Gamefly is $8 per month for one game at a time. With gaming on the rise and Redbox  now a part of this market too, this new program will undoubtedly  be successful.
