Today was one of the biggest days of the year for gaming. Especially for Sony. After 3 weeks of the Playstation network being offline top executives of Sony Jack Trenton and Kaz Hirai both had a great apology tonight. Also numerous games were featured at the event. Especially one of the best ps3 and all around games Uncharted was shown off to the crowd. The game was demoed and showed off its high end 3D graphics. Another ps3 exclusive was Resistance 3. In Sony’s conference they really emphasized the 3D part of the game by introducing a new 24 inch 3D HD display that comes with an HDMI cable 1 pair of 3D glasses and a copy of Resistance 3. Sony is really trying to push 3D especially at its $499 price point. The cool feature about this monitor is that it allows two split screen players to see their own full screen.  Sony also announced that it will have exclusive content for huge games such as Battlefield 3, Saints Row, SSX Deadly descents, and Need for Speed. The biggest exclusivity with these games is with the soon to be blockbuster Battlefield 3. Instead of just having the regular game and nothing else the PS3 version comes with a  copy of Battlefield 1943 all in one disc. And now for the biggest part of their conference. The new Playstation Vita. The Vita is Sony’s powerful new PSP system that has just as much power as the PS3. There are so many great specs on this monster of a device such as multitouch five-inch OLED display, dual analog sticks, sixaxis motion detection, a rear touchpad, and 3G and wifi. At the conference Sony demoed Uncharted, Modnation Racers, and many other great titles. They also announced the price of the vita which is competitively priced at the same price as the 3DS. Sony announced some great things at this conference and I am looking forward to playing some of these great new titles and even getting my hands on with the Vita.
