T-Mobile Samsung Exhibit 4G Review

Our friends over at Samsung were nice enough to send us over a T-Mobile Samsung Exhibit 4G. This phone is very impressive for the price range it is in. The Exhibit 4G is loaded with Android Gingerbread 2.3 and available from T-Mobile for only $79.99 with a 2 year contract!
I would qualify the Exhibit as a perfect entry level Android phone. The phone features blazing fast 4G speeds with a high resolution 3.5 inch screen. The screen is smaller than most android powered phones, disappointing familiar android users as swipe texting may be difficult and viewing videos and browsing the internet just isn’t the same. However the size of the screen does give the design of the phone a nice sleek feel to it. The phone runs smoothly with a 1GHz Hummingbird processor and comes preloaded with several unique T-Mobile apps. One of those apps include T-Mobile TV, which takes full advantage of 4G speeds, allowing users to subscribe to and watch several different TV network stations. The Exhibit phone also features Wi-Fi calling, which to those who don’t know allows users of the Exhibit to send and receive calls and messages over a Wi-Fi network using ones’ existing T-Mobile plan. There is no special setup needed for Wi-Fi calling and is great for locations that have weak or spotty coverage. Finally, the battery life of this phone is amazing rated at up to nine hours of talk time and up to fifteen days of standby time! I found that in my experience with the phone these ratings are pretty accurate.

The Bottom Line:
The Samsung Exhibit 4G phone is a great entry level Android powered phone. At only $79.99 with a 2 year contract it is hard to beat. The design is small and sleek with only a 3.5 inch screen, however it may disappoint most previous Android users. However the blazing fast 4G speeds are impressive to say the least and the battery life is long lasting at up to nine hours of talk time!
