Lenovo Unveils 3 New Tablets

Today Lenovo announced 3 new tablets. It is there first time in the tablet market, and they are making a whole family of them. The 3 tablets are the; IdeaPad K1 TabletThinkPad Tablet, & The IdeaPad Tablet P1. The IdeaPad Tablet K1 and the ThinkPad Tablet will be running Android 3.1 “Honeycomb”. There will also be 2(two) app stores, the regular Android Marketplace and the new Lenovo App Shop. The New Lenovo App Shop will have apps that were specially tested for the Lenovo tablets. They are also the first tablet’s certified for Netflix Streaming. The IdeaPad and ThinkPad Tablet’s have full 1080p HDMI output coupled with Digital Rights Management (DRM) built directly in to them. So with Netflix all you have to do is plug right in, sit back, and enjoy. What’s inside the Tablets matter as well, right? The IdeaPad and ThinkPad Tablet’s have NVIDIA* Tegra* 2 dual-core mobile processors, this will make for lighting fast speeds. It will give you a very nice multi-tasking experience. Lenovo also said this, “noticeably faster web browsing with build-in Flash, console-quality gaming and low power consumption for improved battery life,”. This means it will have amazing graphics and greta battery life. These Tablet’s are packed inside with some pretty amazing stuff! Keep in mind they also have the power to use “Flash”, this is not found in all tablets. Ah but, Lenovo did not forget it.

The IdeaPad K1 Tablet is meant for consumers. It weighs only 1.6lbs, this will make it comfortable to hold. It has a 10.1” HD  display, with a 1280×800 resolution. The thickness is only  13.3mm, making it ultra-portable. It has WiFi, 3G(Optional), and BlueTooth built-in, this way you can stay connected. It has 2 cameras, 2 mega-pixel in the front and 5 mega-pixel in the back. Out of the box it comes loaded with over 40 Apps, from the people at Netflix, Amazon, Adobe, Electronic Arts, Rovio, Zinio, Dataviz. The value of the Apps is over $40. This means you’ll get apps like, Angry Birds, Kindle E-book Reader and Documents to Go. It also has Lenovo’s Social Touch App, it is exclusive to Lenovo’s Tablets. It allows for all of your social networks to be organized in one place. It has “cloud-storage”, so it will sync, store, and share your files. The ThinkPad Tablet is designed for business customers. ThinkPads are known for the durability and security and reliability. This will be know different with the ThinkPad Tablet. They will help cover damages that are not covered by normal warranties. As well as provide help when you get the tablet and are setting it up. You also get access to Lenovo’s Imaging Services, this will help the IT Department when they have to image each and every tablet. It will be ready to go right out of the box! The 16GB version of the ThinkPad Tablet without the digitizer pen will cost $499.99, and $529 with the digitizer pen for WiFi Models. The keyboard portfolio carrying case will cost $99 . The IdeaPad Tablet P1 is for the office and the home. It will run Windows 7, meaning that it will be a Windows 7 Tablet. It will have 1.5GHz Intel* processor, this way you can do your tasks at ease and at a quick rate. Whether it is typing a word document or viewing photos, this tablet can handle it. It has a 10.1’’ high-definition 16:10 widescreen with multi-touch display. The resoltuion is 1280×800. This will give you great quality visuals from the Tablet. You can also get the optional stylus pen, if you want one. It also has Full Flash support and Beautiful HD playback. It also comes pre-loaded with Microsoft Security Essentials, it is an extra step taken to protect all of the data on the device. It is 14.5mm thin and is only 2lbs. The IdeaPad Tablet P1 brings portability to Windows 7, it will make your life easier both at the office and in your house. It will get up to 6-hours of battery life. It will come in 2(two) sizes, 32GB /64GB SSD storage. It will have optional 3G Connectivity, WiFi, and BlueTooth. However the IdeaPad Tablet P1 will not be coming till Quarter 4 of 2011. So we will have to wait a little longer for this one, but it does seem worth the wait.
