The Verizon Xperia Play received a price cut. We did a review of the Verizon Wireless Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, which can be seen here. When it first launched it was priced at $199 with a 2-year contract and  $449.99 with out a 2 year contract. The price was high for the phone, as it was not the best phone out there. Verizon has cut the price down to $149.99 with a 2-year contract. But wait, right now if you buy online there is a $50 online discount, which drops the price of the Verizon Xperia Play with a 2-year contract to just $99.99. They will even give you “Free Overnight Shipping”. This is quite a big price cut, but the questions is why did it get the price cut. It been on the market for 2 months, when it was first announced the “hype” for the device was huge, but it was delayed for quite a long time. Durring this time it lost a lot of hype. But when it comes down to the phone if you not a gamer, you most likely won’t get it. It has ok specs, but its not the best phone. For starters it is not 4G LTE and it is big phone. If your not a gamer, you won’t go for the Xperia Play. You will go for a better phone that Verizon has. The price was cut in half, in less than 2 months. Overall unless your a hardcore your not going to go for this phone. If you are interested in getting Verizon Wireless Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, now would be the time too. We do not know how long this price cut will last for. You Can Get The Verizon Wireless Sony Ericsson Xperia Play For Just $99.99 With A 2-Year Contract Here. Overall, it is good deal if you want it but, it is sad to see the phone is not doing to well.
