Boost Mobile Samsung Transform Ultra Review - NJTechReviews

Our friends over at Boost Mobile have sent us the Boost Mobile Samsung Transform Ultra Review. It is the newest Android smartphone for Boost Mobile. It is goes hand-in-hand with the Samsung Galaxy Prevail. Now, let’s get started with the full review of the Boost Mobile Samsung Transform Ultra!

Hardware

The Hardware in the Boost Mobile Samsung Transform Ultra is good. It is made by Samsung and most of their phones are great. I thought very highly of the Samsung Galaxy Prevail, which is the like the brother to this new device. One main difference is that the Samsung Transform Ultra features a slide out full QWERTY Keyboard, this comes in very handy. On the top of the phone you have your headphone jack and power/sleep button. Under the screen you ahem your 4(four) normal Android buttons, please note that these are actual buttons. On the Left hand side you have your volume rocker. And on the right hand side you have you camera shutter button, this only work in the Camera App. On the back you have the “Boost Mobile” logo, speaker, 3 mega-pixel camera, and LED Flash. The Samsung Transform Ultra has a  3.5” HVGA touch screen. The display is good, it has very vibrant colors and it picks up touch very well. The other features of the Transform Ultra are the 1GHz processor, 512MB of RAM, VGA Front Facing Camera, 3 mega-pixel back camera,  Android 2.3 with Sprint ID, and more. It comes with a 2GB MicroSD Card but, can hold up to a 32GB Micro SD Card. It has a 1500 mAh Li-ION inner cell battery, that should last you are around 7 hours when talking. The build quality of the Transform Ultra is good, the only bad part would be the plastic back it makes the unit feel less comfortable when holding it in your hand. Overall, the Boost Mobile Samsung Transform Ultra features some great hardware inside.

Operating System

The Boost Mobile Samsung Transform Ultra is running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread with Sprint ID. The experience of Android 2.3 on this device is good and it does run very smoothly thanks to its 1GHz Processor and 512MB of RAM. It is a clean version of Android 2.3 until you choose your Sprint ID pack. Sprint ID lets you customize your phone, so instead of having a User Interface, you pick a theme that you like. There are many to choose from like Boost Mobile, MTV Music, Socially Connected, Entertainment, E!,  Professional, and much more. The phone does not come pre-loaded with basically any apps, it has the Google Apps, and normal Android Apps. The only other app that is pre-installed is ThinkFree Office. This comes pre-loaded on almost every smartphone. Without having the pre-loaded apps this give the owner a lot more customization. Many people will like this. It does not come with the Boost Mobile Apps, like the Samsung Galaxy Prevail did. Overall, the Android 2.3 with Sprint ID Packs on the Boost Mobile Samsung Transform Ultra are great!

Bottom Line

The Boost Mobile Samsung Transform Ultra is a great smartphone. It features a great looking  3.5” HVGA touch screen. It is very fast thanks to its 1GHz Processor and 512MB of RAM. It also features 2 camera a VGA front facing and 5 mega-pixel back camera. It also runs on Android 2.3 with Sprint ID Pack. The Transform Ultra is a no-contract device running on Boost Mobile. It will cost you $229.99 and works with Boost Mobile’s Daily Unlimited and Android Monthly Unlimited plans. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a no-contract simple Android phone with a QWERTY Keyboard. You Can Get You Boost Mobile Samsung Transform Ultra, By Clicking Here. I would like to thank Boost Mobile for providing us with a copy of the “Boost Mobile Samsung Transform Ultra”.
