Our friends over at Pantech have sent us the Pantech Crossover for us to review. It was their first Android smartphone for AT&T. It features a touch screen and full QWERTY keyboard. Now, let’s get started with the full review of the Pantech Crossover!



The Pantech Crossover is a simple and easy to use smartphone. It has some good hardware inside of it. On the top of the phone you have a “function” button, headphone jack, and “lock/power” button. On the left hand side you have your micro USB port and the camera shutter button. On the right hand side you have your volume rocker. The left hand side is also where the QWERTY keyboard slides out from. On the top of the screen you have your earpiece and AT&T logo. Under the screen you have the Pantech logo and the regular Android buttons. On the back you your 3 mega-pixel camera and a speaker. If you take the back cover off you will find the Pantech Battery, AT&T Sim Card slot, and your microSD card slot. The phone dimensions are 4.45″ by 2.28″ by 0.56″. It weighs only 5.15 ounces. It has a 3.1 inch touch screen display with a resolution of 320 X 480, that gives you very nice colors and is pretty good overall. It has 600Mhz processor and it makes the phone run pretty well. It comes with a 2GB microSD card that is pre-installed. It also has a motion detector, accelerometer, and more. Overall, the hardware in the Pantech Crossover is great!


Operating System

The Pantech Crossover is running Android 2.2.2 Froyo with Pantech’s User Interface running on top of it. Pantech’s User Interface is great, it makes the phone much more easy and simpler to use. It has many different widgets, and backgrounds even some that are live backgrounds. It has 5(five) scrolling home screens, which you can customize to your liking. It also comes pre-loaded with many different apps like the Google App Suite, AT&T Navigator/Code Scanner/Family Map/Mark The Spot/Live TV/My AT&T, Twitter, Yellow Pages, Facebook, Document Manager, Converter, Data Management, Compass, All Sport GPS and more. In terms of the fastness of the operating system Android 2.2.2 Froyo with Pantech’s User Interface runs very well on the Pantech Crossover. This thanks to the 600MHz processor inside of this phone. The operating system and user interface on the Pantech Crossover is great!

The Pantech Crossover is a great phone. It is a simple to use and low-cost Android Smartphone. It features both a touch screen and a QWERTY keyboard. It running Android 2.2.2 Froyo with Pantech’s great User Interface. It features some great per-loaded apps that will give you everything you need right out of the box.
