As you know December 5 was the 1 year anniversary of Verizon’s 4G LTE Network. There has only been one other outage with the network and that was early last year. Well now Verizon has confirmed that some users are experiencing a 4G LTE Outage. Keep in mind that this does not affect the 3G Network at all. It is also mainly with the 4G LTE Data, some users are reporting no access to the network or very slow speeds on the network. The customers who do not have data are running on the 3G Network. Verizon has put out this statement regarding there 4G LTE Network:
Verizon Wireless engineers have been working to resolve an issue with 4GLTE service that is affecting some customers’ 4G devices. 3G data and voice devices are unaffected. All customers’ voice calls and text messages continue to go through. In the past 24 hours, some 4GLTE customers have reported their devices are operating on 3G data service where they would normally get 4G. Some have reported no issues, others that data access is either intermittent or unavailable. We are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
This issue has been going around for about 24 Hours, but it is not affecting all customers. Verizon’s engineers are working very hard to resolve this issue. Voice Calls and Text Messages are going through fine, they are not affected. Some 4G Devices are running on the 3G Data Network, when they should be on the 4G Network. And others are reporting no data at all. They are hoping to have the network back up and running as soon as possible. Knowing Verizon they should have this fixed very soon. We will keep you updated if we hear anything or if new updates are released. Are you able to access 4G LTE Data on your Verizon 4G Device?
