T-Mobile has just unleashed Carrier Freedom which will now cover device payment plans from AT&T and Verizon Wireless, as well as leases from Sprint. They will pay up to $650 for each phone for up to 10 lines! Carrier Freedom comes as a result of the 29 million people in the United States who are locked into a lease or device payment plan. John Legere wants to make it easier for customers to switch to T-Mobile, they recognize that it is expensive to switch. They already have been paying for the full cost of early termination fees and now they are expanding this. With Carrier Freedom, T-Mobile will now cover outstanding phone or tablet payments for those on AT&T Next, Verizon Edge or other carrier equipment installment plans. They will also be covering Sprint’s leases plans with this new move. This will extend to both business and consumer customers, giving them the opportunity to switch carriers. T-Mobile will cover up to $650 total per line on up to 10 total lines, but for business customers will get bill credits up to $100 per line after the 10th line. Along with the announcement of Carrier Freedom, T-Mobile also unveiled new business plans and the Un-Contract at Un-Carrier 9.0!
