The Moto X Style will start at $399 and lands in September as the Pure Edition in the United States

Motorola just finished their big multi city event and they have unveiled several new phones, including two new Moto X’s. Introducing the Moto X Style, the only one of the two announced that will make its way to the United States. Coming to the United States, will be the Moto X Pure Edition which will on all the carriers thank to Universal LTE Bands and will be running a clean version of Android with priority updates. In the United States the device will start at $399 and will be landing in September, so let’s dive into the specifications.

The Moto X Pure Edition is available with Moto Maker, which will of course let you customize it to your liking. They offer many colors to choose from, as well as new choices like affiano leather and real wood. It has a very nice bezel and is quite thin between 6.1 millimeters to 11.06 millimeters and is just 179 grams. It has a 5.7-inch 1440p QuadHD display with a resolution of 1440 X 2560 with 520 pixels-per-inch. For added protection the display has a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 over it.

It is running Android 5.5.1 Lollipop out of the box and Motorola is promising priority Android updates to the device. It is powered by a Motorola Mobile Computing System that is made up of a 1.8GHz Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 808 with hexa-core CPU (MSM8992), Adreno 418 GPU, Natural Language Processor, and Contextual Computing Processor. All of these processors are paired with a solid 3GB of RAM. In terms of storage, you can get the device in a 16GB, 32GB, and 64G sizes. And it will be quite easy to expand on your storage thanks to a micro SD card slot. Motorola is saying you should get all day battery life, thanks to a 3,000 mAh battery inside and Turbo Charging is back.

Motorola is saying they now have best in class cameras and the set for the Moto X Style or Moto X Pure Edition is looking good. On the back you will find a 21 megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture, Phase Detect Auto-Focus, Burst Mode, Tap Anywhere to Capture, Auto HDR, 4X Digital Zoom, and more. You will be able to record video in up to 4K at 30 frames per second, while you can shoot 1080pHD at 60 frames per second. On the front you will find a 5 megapixel wide-angle lens with 1.4um pixel, f/2.0 aperture, and a flash.

Overall, the new Moto X Style or rather the Moto X Pure Edition seem like great smartphones and the idea of one model working for every single carrier and running a pure Android experience is incredible.
