The #HYPE is over and the OnePlus 2 is now out of the bag. OnePlus is not calling it the 2015 flagship killer, but instead the 2016 Flagship killer. It will be starting at $329 for the lower end model and will go up to $389 for the higher end model, but it does come in under the $400 price mark. This is quite a feat for an unlocked device that features up to 4GB of RAM and a pretty solid specification sheet.

OnePlus 2 builds on the OnePlus One, it is landing over a year since the original was announced. It will be landing on August 11th, but invites are still required. For $329 you will get a 16GB OnePlus 2 with 3GB of RAM, and $389 will get you a 64GB device with 4GB of RAM. The device itself comes in at 9.85 millimeters thick and weighs in at 175 grams, it will be available in Sandstone Black. It is powered by a 1.8Ghz octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor and is running OxygenOS which is based on Android 5.1.

The device does not have a 4K or a 2K display, instead OnePlus opted for a 5.5-inch 1080pHD display with a resolution of 1920 X 1080 and 401 pixels-per-inch. It is a LCD in-cell display and has a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass for protection. For connectivity you will Bluetooth 4.1, as well as WiFi 2.4 and 5.0. It will support 4G LTE networks and features a dual SIM setup.

On the back you will find a 13 megapixel lens that features 6 lenses inside for a clear and crisp shot. The back camera can shoot video in 4K and has a f/2.0 aperture, along with a dual LED flash. For selfies and Snapchatting, you will find a 5 megapixel lens on the front.

OnePlus decided to go with a USB Type-C port for charging and data syncing, but they also went with a finger print sensor. In the box you will get a 2 port wall adapter, as well as USB Type-C charging cable. Unfortunately, the OnePlus Two does not have Near Field Communications or Wireless Charging built-in and it cannot be added via the Styleswap Covers.

For now, you can sign up for the invite list on there website, but there is quite a big wait. Keep an eye on social media for contents and chances to win an invite to get your hands-on the OnePlus 2, the launch is just few short weeks aways on August 11th.
