YouTube unleashes its redesigned video player bar to the world

Back in the Spring, YouTube announced that it was beta testing a redesigned video player. It looked more sleek, was more inline, didn’t distract from the content, but it was just being beta tested. And when it started getting leaked out or rather shown in photos, it made a lot of users want it. Well, as of yesterday they have begun to roll out the player to the masses, on a global scale and boy does it look nice.

Granted it is not a full redesign, but it makes the bar transparent and it distracts less from the content you might be watching. It also disappears and re-appears faster from what I have experienced with it so far. It is a pretty nice update and put more of the focus on the videos themselves. The update for the redesigned playback bar is available globally on YouTube now.
