When it was my chance to check out the first episode of season 7 of FXX’s The League, it brought many things to mind. Especially the fact that this is the final kick off, season 7 is the last season of the hit show. The series has become a hit, even with the switch from FX to FXX, The League has grown in popularity and delivers comedic genius every season.

Luckily, no body the left show, season 7 brings back the full cast with Ruxin, Kevin, Jenny, Taco, Pete, and Andrew all making appearances. There will be some small spoilers below, but keep in mind episode 1 will kick off tonight, September 9th 2015, at 10PM on FXX.

Before we device into specifics for the episode, the main feeling that I got was the show beginning to come full circle. We see characters arcs continuing, and favorite quirks of each character are shown. Taco is quick to bring laughs specifically, along with the rest of the cast.

We open up with Taco and skittles lover, Marshawn Lynch, they are finishing up the Taco Corp board meeting. We get into a quick moment that turns really funny, as Taco doesn’t choose the proper way to give Kevin a beer. We also see the switch from a common snake draft for fantasy football, to an auction draft in which they have to bid for players. This idea alone will lead to some more interesting situations that the gang will get put into.

Season 7 is go big or go home, after all we learn that Andre is no dating Pete’s ex-wife Meegan, and when Pete finds out the reaction is priceless to say the least. We also see that Andre is not stopping being the butt of the joke, he will continue to be and it means similar laughs. It’s fits in with the comedic theme we have seen in The League throughout the past six seasons.

Overall, episode 1 is a great final kick off to one of the funniest and most unique shows on TV. I highly recommend you stay tuned through out the seventh season of The League. The show is still on FXX, you can catch The League Thursdays at 10PM, episode 1 premiere tonight, September 9th 2015.

We would like to thank FX Networks for providing us with screeners for The League.
