Earlier this year, more specifically in early July, GoPro unleashed their smallest, lightest and most convenient camera yet. That of course was the HERO4 Session and it made it’s worldwide launch soon after on July 12th for $399.99. The Session is 50% smaller and 40% lighter than other HERO4 Black or Silver. But this week, GoPro is making the HERO4 Session even more accessible by lowering the price to just $299.99.

The HERO4 Session might be small, but it is still quite powerful. It can capture high-resolution 1440p video at 30 frames per second and 1080p video at 60 frames per second. It can also do slow motion video at 720p with 100 frames per second. For photos, it has an 8 megapixel lens that can shoot burst, time lapses and take individual photos. GoPro’s landmark feature SuperView is on the Session as well, allowing you to capture more with a super wide frame of view. This paired with Auto Low Light and ProTune will make your videos and photos look superb.

Along with great hardware that will let you find your adventure and to capture the awesome, the Session has a few other tricks up it’s sleeve. It has an easy to use and quite simple one button control. A simple tap will turn the camera on and will start a time-lapse or start recording, another tap will stop recording and turn off the camera. You can dive into the settings via the Smart Remote or the GoPro app.

The new price of $299.99 for the GoPro HERO4 Session is in effect now and makes the camera an even better deal. Check out the Hero4 Session on GoPro’s website by clicking here.
