Microsoft unveils the Surface Book; the first laptop built by the company

Microsoft has just unveiled the Surface Book, what they are calling the ultimate laptop. It has a 13.5-inch diagonal screen across that delivers 6 million pixels with a 260 depth per inch. This is the first laptop made by Microsoft and it seems like a beast of laptop.

Not only is the display really sharp, but it comes off and is detachable. The GPU is located in the base of the product and this gets connected with the powerful PC based in the display or top portion.

They are not just highlighting the display, they are also taking about the keyboard experience. Microsoft is calling the experience is perfect, the sound is very quite and the precision is accurate. The trackpad features precision perfect tracking and is made out of glass, plus it brings all of the Windows 10 features to the table.

Microsoft is noting that it is different from the also just announced Surface Pro, it is made for gamers, coders, scientists, and architects. It is made for everyone with the latest generation Intel core processors and it is tuned for Windows 10. It has a NVIDIA GeForce GPU and Microsoft is saying that is the most powerful 13-inch laptop on the market. Microsoft is stating you should get 12 hours of battery life.

The company has also done a comparison of the product against the MacBook Pro, they are saying the Surface Book is twice as powerful. The Surface Book will work with the newly announced Surface Dock, to bring a total this works with the Pro 3 and Pro 4 as well.

Microsoft’s Surface Book is the first from the company and it’s design will be seamless. It will be starting at $1499 and is available for pre-order now, it will be landing on October 26th.
