Acer has just unveiled the latest model in its Aspire Switch line of 2-in-1 devices, introducing the Aspire Switch 12 S. It pairs a modern design with the latest and greatest technology including the new Acer ExoAmp WiFi antenna, but not in a traditional location. In fact this antenna is embedded into the Acer Snap Hinge Gold, which supports super fast data streaming between the tablet and the keyboard.

Plus, this ExoAmp antenna is just 7.85 millimeters thick and ensures a fast and uninterrupted connection to WiFi. It is powered by Windows 10 and thanks to Continuum, you can easily switch between notebook, tablet, display, and tent.  You will find that Thunderbolt 3 on USB C will result in super fast charging and data streaming, at up to 40Gbps between devices. In fact it can stream data and visuals to up to 4K models at once.

Plus, with an Intel RealSense Camera on-board, you can capture movements for 3D model generating and can use the camera for 3D scanning. The 12.5-inch display can come in 4K at 3840 X 2160 or in Full HD at 1920 X 1080, depending on the model of the Aspire Switch 12 S. Either way you will find a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and Acer VisionCare on-board.

Along with the Thunderbolt 3 port on USB Type-C, you will find two USB 3.0 ports, a Micro SD card reader, a Micro HDMI port, and a headphone jack. You can also get it with up to 8GB of RAM inside and with up to 256GB SSD of storage.

The Acer Aspire Switch 12 S will be landing in February for North America and will start at $999.99. It will be launching in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and China in February as well.
