Acer has just rolled out the newest addition to the Chromebook 11 line, the new Chromebook 11 CB3-131. The biggest part of this update to the Chromebook 11 would have to be the new nano-imprinted aluminum cover, but the solid performance and portability are still on-board as well.

This new nano-imprinted pattern not only provides a more premium look, but it increase durability. It has been reinforced like several other Acer products, and thus makes this model ideal of commercial and education customers. It can handle up to 60kg of downward force on the top can cover and the corners can take up to 60cm of drops. The Chromebook 11 is still portable at 0.73-inches thick and weighing in a 2.42 pounds.

You will be able to partake in Google Hangouts while on the Chromebook 11 thanks to a high-dynamic-range or HDR webcam built-in, along with an integrated microphone and stereo speakers. You get an 11.6-inch display with non-glare Acer ComfyView and a 1366 x 768 resolution.

The Chromebook 11 is being powered by an Intel Celeron quad-core processor with either 2GB or 4GB of RAM. It can come with either 16GB or 32GB of storage inside as well. Acer is saying the Chromebook 11 should get up to 9 hours of battery life on one charge. In terms of connectivity you will find dual-band 2×2 MIMO 802.11ac WiFi on board, along with Bluetooth 4.0, USB 3.0, USB 2.0, and HDMI ports. Along with the ability to quickly import or export photos and videos thanks to an SD card reader.’

Acer’s latest addition to the Chromebook 11 line, the CB3-131 will be landing in February of 2016 and will start at $179.99 in the United States. The CB3-131 will be available with either 16GB or 32GB of internal storage.
