Samsung had quite a busy day, after all there 2016 Consumer Electronics Show press conference happened earlier today! While at the event they showed off their new lineup of SUHD TV’s, two new Gear S2 Classics, a Galaxy TabPro S, and new appliances, they did not show off new computers. Samsung, quietly, unleashed the ultra-portable Notebook 9 in a 13.3-inch and 15.-inch sizes.

The Notebook 9 is an ultra-portable laptop, they weigh less than 2.9 pounds and have a magnesium chassis. No longer do you have to worry about carrying a heavy laptop with you. To put it simply, the Notebook 9 is the Windows version of the 12-inch MacBook, and it comes in two sizes. The smaller 13.3-inch Notebook 9 is only 1.85 pounds, which is one of the lightest PCs in the world. The 15-inch Notebook 9 is nearly as light and has super slim bezel, which allows the laptop to fit into the chassis of a traditional 14-inc model. The 15-inch model is great whether you are using for business or for entertainment. They will also be running Windows 10 out of the box

Both the 13-inch and 15-inch Notebook 9’s have all day battery life, which will let you take this device and know it will work all day long. Plus, if the battery does run out they both feature Samsung’s Fast Charging Technology, the 15-inch model can charge to over two hours in just 20 minutes. These laptops also feature an immersive Full HD PLS display with wide viewing angles, 350 nit brightness levels, and 1920 X 1080 resolutions. The hinge on the Notebook 9 is a full 180 degrees and the screens have an anti-glare layer allowing you to work in almost any environment. The 13-inch and 15-inc Notebook 9’s feature 802.11 ac in a 2 X 2 format and have Samsung Link 2.0. This will allow users to share files between their Samsung PC and Galaxy smartphones, tablets, and Smart TVs. You can also mirror your Galaxy device on the Notebook 9 wirelessly with Samsung SideSync.

Samsung’s Notebook 9 13-inch and Notebook 9 15-inch will be launching in early 2016. While we don’t have pricing just yet, they will be available from selected retailers and Samsung.com. They will also be launching a Notebook 9 13.3-inch variant that is running Windows Professional in early 2016.
