Apple has just introduced the second member of the iPad Pro, it comes in at just 1 pound and has a 9.7-inch display. They started iPad with a smaller display, so they are going back to there roots. They have sold over 200 million 9.7-inch iPads, but secondly most people who get an iPad Pro are Windows users.
The 9.7-inch iPad Pro has a Pro display with a custom timing controller, photo alignment technology, and more. It is also 40% less reflective than a typical iPad Air, this will let you work anywhere. It is very bright, similar to the bigger iPad Pro, which puts our 500-nits of light and can show off the some of the best colors ever. This display will work with Night Shift, new in iOS 9.3, as well as TruTone Display. This measures the color temperature of ambient light and adjusts the color display to match it. This is a first and big announcement for Apple.
Similar to the original iPad Pro, Pro Audio is back for the 9.7-inch iPad Pro. This is not the last time I will write Pro, as it is powered by the A9X processor. This is a very Pro device, it is not just a smaller iPad Pro. The 9.7-inch iPad Pro has a 12-core GPU, this makes it great for gaming and for modeling. And for iOS 9’s multitasking, you will have more than enough power to get your work done.
Pro Accessories are back, including a Smart Keyboard and the Apple Pencil. Phil Schiller said the Apple Pencil is the greatest accessory they have ever made. There is also a new USB Camera Adapter and SD Card Reader, this does include a USB C port. They have also updated the camera on the back, with a new 12MP iSight Camera with Focus Pixels and True Tone Flash, along with Live Photos. You have a 5 megapixel FaceTime camera on the back.
It will come in four colors; Gold, Rose Gold, Silver, and Space Grey.
The 9.7-inch iPad Pro is available for pre-order on the 24th and ship on the 31st. It will cost $599 for 32GB, $699 for 128GB, and for the first ever a 256GB iOS device for $799.
