iOS 10 Beta 6-2

iOS 10 was unveiled back at WWDC 2016 in June and since then Apple has continually put out betas of the software. Registered developers had first cracks at it on day one, but in July the Public Beta program began. Today, Apple is releasing iOS 10 Beta 6 for developers and iOS 10 Beta 5 for public beta testers.

For registered developers and public beta members, the update is available as an over-the-air update through Settings. This update comes in at around 76MB and being that this is the 6th beta, a GM candidate should be released soon.

iOS 10 is a substantial upgrade to Apple’s mobile operating system. The overall iOS feels faster and adds some new updates that are possible from back-end artificial intelligence updates. Messages might be the star of the show with several new features, including different types of messages. You can send them so confetti or fireworks appears in the background.

iOS 10 will be released alongside WatchOS 3 and macOS Sierra this Fall to everyone.
