Twitter_Logo_White_On_BlueEarlier this year, reports surfaced that Twitter was working on an Apple TV application. One that focused in on live-streaming video, especially after the social network cut a deal with the NFL. Today, Twitter is launching applications for the Apple TV, as well as the Amazon Fire TV and for the Xbox One.

These applications will let you access all of Twiter’s live video streams which include 10 NFL Thursday Night Football games. As well as content from Pac 12 Networks, Campus Insiders, Cheddar, Bloomberg News, the MLB, and the NBA. You will have access to other top content from the network like Tweets or Vines.

Exclusive to the Apple TV is the ability to watch the stream and see Tweets side-by-side. This brings an added level of entertainment to traditional video watching and will give the Apple TV application an edge.

Twitter’s latest app comes at no fee to download or to use it, but you might see a few ads. The application is rolling out today to the Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, and Xbox One.
