Lenovo updates the core ThinkPads with a refreshed T Series

ThinkPad T470

The ThinkPad T Series is getting updates across the board– with a refreshed T470, T470s, T470p, and T570 landing soon. All of these opt for USB-C in the form of Thunderbolt 3 and have circuit protection built-in. Lenovo has pre-installed the Windows 10 Signature Image on all of these models, which ensures a smooth software experience. Plus you get Intel Core i processor and enhanced fingerprint readers.

The T470 will be the main 14-inch business laptop offering from Lenovo. It will start at $914 when it lands in February. A 14-inch 1920 X 1080 display with touch capabilities built in. You can use the built IR camera to use Windows Hello to login into Windows 10. You get plenty of customizations with up to 1TB of storage, up to 32GB of RAM, NVIDIA GeForce graphics, and plenty of ports. It is also portable at just 20 millimeters thick.

ThinkPad T470s

The T470s is ultraportable at 18 millimeters thick and weighs in at 2.9 pounds. However you still get an ethernet port, three USB 3.0 ports, an HDMI out, SD card reader, and a USB-C port for charging. It a 14-inch display that can be customized with up to a WQHD IPS– But at the starting price you get a FHD IPS one. It has integrated graphics, up to 1TB SSD for storage, and up to 24GB of RAM. It lands in February and will start at $1,099.

Those looking for performance with dedicated graphics can look towards the T470p. This 14-inch notebook features a NVIDIA GeForce 940MX graphics card and up to a WQHD display. It has integrated stereo speakers, a 720p webcam, up to 32GB of RAM, and up to a 1TB SSD. Even with dedicated graphics it weighs just 4 pounds and has an estimated 12 hours of battery life. It will lands in March of 2017 with a starting price of $1,049.

ThinkPad T470p

Lastly, the T570 is a 15-inch laptop that is 8% lighter and 10% thinner than last years model. It can also be configured with a 4K 3840 X 2160 UHD display paired with GeForce 940MX graphics. You can expect 16 hours of battery life courtesy of a 9-cell battery setup. It can have up to 32GB of RAM paired with 1TB of storage. The ThinkPad T570 will start at $909 and will land in March of 2017.
