Lenovo’s ThinkPad L Series goes mainstream with affordable notebooks

Lenovo has already updated a majority of its ThinkPad lineup, but the L Series is next! Coming in March the refreshed L470 and L570 will be landing. You get a reliable machine for a price that won’t break the bank with these notebooks.

The L470 starts at $779 and features a 14-inch HD display at 220-nits, but can upgrade to a FHD IPS display at 250-nits. It is running Windows 10 with up to 32GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. It also features switchable AMD R16M graphics with 2GB of RAM. You also get many ports including a VGA out, three USB 3.0 ports, and an SD card reader.

The L570 has a 1366 X 768 15-inch display in the base model, but this can be upgraded to a 1920 X 1080 display. It weighs in a 5.25-pounds and has 11 hours of battery life from a 48Wh battery. It has an Intel processor with integrated graphics– paired with up to 32GB of RAM. It is running Windows 10 with up to 1TB of storage. The classic ThinkPad keyboard gets an added number keypad as well. Plus, the large L570 has an optical drive which means legacy support. The larger L570 will land in March 2017 with a starting price of $909.
