CES 2017 is not going to live any part of the Smart ecosystem behind. Yesterday we saw Samsung unveil the Family Hub 2.0 Refirgatrop lineup and today we have more Smart Kitchen technology arrive. You might know Drop for having a Smart Kitchen Scale and a companion recipe application. And well, GE Appliances is a massive company that has done some excellent work throughout the years.

Today these two team up to bring new features to GE’s connected ovens. Via the Drop Recipes app, you will now be able to control a GE connected wall over. Meaning you can preheat the over, change the temperature, and monitor it while you are cooking. This further enhances interactive cookbook experience that Drop has pioneered.

There are already over 500 recipes in the application, and these will continue to grow. It will be exciting see if Drop and GE Appliances expand this into a product made for the kitchen. As we saw with other new smart products, it seems that 2017 will be the move out of beta and into experiences that can truly help everyday life.

The Drop Recipies App is available now from the App Store, and the Drop Connected Scale is available now from several retailers for $79.99.
