You might not think of high-end when you think of TCL, but this might change. At CES 2017 the company unveiled their new 2017 lineup of TVs- the C-Series, P-Series, and S-Series. The entire line combined equals out to 25 models, and they all feature 4K picture quality– Plus they are all smart.

TCL and Roku have been partners since 2014, and that is not going away this year. The Roku Smart TV platform on TCL works very well and provides the consumer with a customizable home screen. The Roku platform also gives you access to more 4,500 channels to choose from. This year the TCL TVs are running Roku OS 7.5 which allows you to pause on-air television and will add more channels over time.

The flagship C-Series offer TV’s ranging from 49-inches all the way to 75-inches. You get a 4K Picture Quality with Dolby Vision, something we have been hearing about a lot today. And Dolby Vision gives you a fantastic experience with HDR imaging. This means you get luminant brights and deep blacks, providing an excellent image. TCL 4K Creative Pro will upscale HD content to something better, or rather closer to HDR. The C-Series has a modern and very thin design- But not that thin as you get three HDMI ports and an Ethernet port. The redesigned Roku TV remote features a headphone jack. TCL’s C-Series will launch this Spring. The P-Series loses the updated modern design, put still gives you a great 4K UHD picture. Dolby Vision is still on board which will give you an excellent HDR image quality. Upscaling is here again as well courtesy of TCL 4K Creative Pro

The P-Series loses the updated modern design, put still gives you a great 4K UHD picture. Dolby Vision is still on board which will give you an excellent HDR image quality. Upscaling is here again as well courtesy of TCL 4K Creative Pro. TCL’s P-Series will range from 50-inch to 65-inches, Good news here is that the 50-inch model will be only $499.

Last but not least is the affordable TCL S-Series which still provides a good picture. It will be priced competitively with sizes starting at 43-inches all the way up to 65-inches. This series is split up, though- The S4 range is 43-inches too 65-inches. S4 gives you 4K HDR with Creative Pro Upscaling. Then the S3 range is 28-inches to 49-inches, but these are 1080p Full HD, I would be a little weary of the S3, as the S4 range of the S-Series is more feature full and future proof. Either range under the S-Series has three HDMI ports, the latest Roku operating system, and high-speed wireless.

TCL’s 2017 lineup offers an immense value at what should be very affordable pricing. They  C-Series and P-Series offer many of the features that the top of the line Samsung and LG televisions are offering this year. Plus, you get an excellent Smart TV experience courtesy of Roku. TCL’s entire line of 2017 televisions will launch this Spring.
