We have seen connected video doorbells from several different companies including Ring in the past, but this sector of the market is getting more crowded. French starter up Fenotek has unveiled the Hi) a Smart Video Doorbell at the 2017 CES.

Hi) doesn’t look like a traditional doorbell, but it has some features that make the design unique. It features wireless connectivity which allows for real-time video monitoring. It has an HD camera with LED’s for night vision, plus it has a 130-degree field of view. Hi), also features a small LCD monitor, a microphone, a speaker, and LED lights. Through an application your smartphone, you will get notified when someone rings the doorbell or when the on-board motion sensor picks someone up.

Fenotek has not built-in compatibility, as of yet, with any smart home system. But it does have an Open API, so theoretically an ecosystem could adopt it, or Fenotek could do the work and build it into a system.

Hi) is available for pre-order now for $399 and should launch this Spring.
