Just moments ago South Korea’s special prosecutor has ordered the arrest of Lee Kun-Hee’s heir, as the chairman of the Samsung Group has not been in the role for quite some time. This is not for issues with the Galaxy Note 7, but rather with a corruption scandal that caused the impeachment of South Korea’s President.

It appears that Samsung, one of largest the companies in South Korea, played a part in the corruption that caused Park Geun-Hye’s impeachment. The arrest of Jay Y. Lee’s was ordered, and he is the Vice Chairman of the Samsung Group. Apparently, Samsung, as instructed by the office of the chairman, made donations to specific organizations. So this was seen as a bribe to the South Korean President, Park Geun-Hye’s which resulted in political favors for Samsung.

As this is a breaking news story, and we will update this story once more information is known.
