The Boss, Bruce Springsteen, might be off on his Summer 17′ tour in Australia right now, but his eyes and ears are on the United States. He was quite vocal during the campaign and even performed at a rally for Hillary Clinton. During the first night in Perth Australia, he announced that he and the E Street Band were part of the new American Resistance. And earlier this morning or rather this evening in the arena, Springsteen took a stand against Trump’s Immigration Ban.

This latest move from Trump was signed as an executive order on Friday and sparked an outcry in the form of protests across the country and around the world. The order put a 90-day ban on immigrants from seven countries on entering the United States. Springsteen stated that he finds the ban fundamentally un-American and anti-democratic. Also noting that America is a nation built on immigrants before storming into a rocking American Land.

His full statement can be watched below or read, “Tonight we want to add our voices to the thousands of Americans who are protesting at airports around the country the Muslim Ban and the detention of foreign nationals and refugees. America is a nation of immigrants and we find this anti-democratic and fundamentally un-American”.
