Google is not staying silent against Trump’s Executive Order that has erected an Immigration Ban for seven countries into the United States. Companies like Apple and Lyft, have already condemned the ban and are helping those affected, but Google is taking it a step further. The technology giant is setting up a $4 million crisis fund to combat the Immigration Ban.

More specifically, Google itself has started the fund at $2 million and will match up to $2 million in donations from Googlers. I have no doubt they will hit this $4 million fund soon. This crisis fund will help those affected by the ban and are in need of aid. Google will donate to the American Civil Liberties Union, Immigrant Resource Center, Mercy Corps, and the International Rescue Committee.

This move by the company as a whole comes after many Google executives, like Sundar Pichai, have donated on their own.
