We have breaking news from Verizon, around a month after T-Mobile One was announced, big red has just announced they have a new plan. Yes, Verizon is bringing back unlimited data in the form of “Verizon Unlimited.” It seems that this is in direct response to T-Mobile, as there isn’t that much of difference between the two carriers as of now.

Verizon Unlimited is $80 a month of the first phone and then $45 for each additional line. You get unlimited data, talk, and text–But you need to be enrolled in paper-free billing and AutoPay. The latter of which is not a stipulation that T-Mobile has, but if you do use it you do get a discount of $10 a month on the Un-carrier.

There are some limits, though, Verizon after 22GB of data on any individual line you lose priority during busy periods. Essentially this means you will get throttled if the circumstances are there, in that the network is very busy. Verizon Unlimited features HD video streaming, mobile hotspot, calling and texting to Mexico and Canda, plus a500 MB/day of 4G LTE roaming in Mexico and Canada. No word on if that HD video streaming will count towards your data plan, though, as T-Mobile one does not count this. The hotspot however will be limited to 10GB per month.

While there are plenty of questions on Verizon Unlimited, it does seem to be a direct response to T-Mobile and one that the carrier had to make. We have reached out to Verizon with several questions and will update once we hear back. In the meantime, Verizon Unlimited will launch tomorrow, Monday, February 13th.
