Samsung just unveiled a new Gear VR at MWC 2017, but they are not done yet. They have a new Note tablet, that is quite similar to last years Tab S2. But this year’s Galaxy Tab S3 has a 9.7-inch 4K display with HDR support and Samsung has enhanced the S Pen yet again. And it seems that this year Samsung’s new 9.7-inch Tab S3 is going directly after the 9.7-inch iPad Pro.

Like last year, the Tab S3 keeps in design ethos in line with the overall Galaxy brand. In fact the Tab S3 kind of looks like a big with Galaxy S7. It is relatively thin at just 6.00 millimeters and weighs in around 430 grams. This aluminum mixed with glass on the back design looks quite sleek. Even better the included S Pen will be color matched to go along with your Tab S3.

The star of the show with the Tab S3 would be the 9.7-inch Super AMOLED QXGA display with a resolution of 2048 X 1536. This a 4K resolution and does support the HDR standard for videos. Matching the vibrant display will be a quad speaker setup that is powered by AKG from Harman. It is equipped with a 2.0GHz and a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor with 4GB of RAM. Along with this processor, there is a Vulkan API for graphics onboard.Samsung is packing 32GB of storage inside plus this can be expanded through a microSD card slot. They have also gone with USB Type-C for the port on the Tab S3.

The Galaxy Tab S3 is running Android 7.0 Nougat with a Samsung user interface on top. Samsung is also packing Samsung Smart Switch, Notes, Air Command, and Flow applications on the tablet. There is a 6,000mAh battery on the inside which should give you a full days battery life. Samsung has opted for a 13-megapixel camera with a lens on the back, plus a 5-megapixel camera on the front for selfies. The new S Pen has a new 0.7mm tip with increased pressure sensitivity. And lastly, the Galaxy Tab S3 will be available in WiFi and LTE variants across the globe.

Samsung has not yet announced pricing or availability for the device, but we expect to go hands-on with it soon!
