If you live in New York City, Philadelphia, Chicago, Los Angeles, or the San Fransisco Bay Area today is your lucky day. Google’s first dip into live streaming is launching today, yes YouTube TV has finally launched in these five select markets. Although they were quick to say that more markets will be added in the coming months. If you’re in one of these markets, which does get confirmed via your location, can now sign up for the service which starts at $35 a month.

Currently, you can get a 1-month free trial, which means first-day users will get it free until May 5th. I just signed up and will report back with a full hands-on in about 48 hours, but the process was pretty simple, and they give you a nice walk through. YouTube TV gives you access to local channels and several cable channels like ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, ESPN, Bravo, and Disney Channel. You can add Showtime and Fox Sports Plus for an additional monthly fee.

You can share your account with up to five other users, and up to three users can watch simultaneously. Each user gets an unlimited store DVR that will hold content for up to nine months as well. YouTube TV can be accessed from the web, via an iOS or Android application, plus it also works with the Chromecast at launch.
