Last year we saw the launch of a public beta of Sling TV’s Cloud DVR feature. Well, it is moving out of beta and becoming an add-on for the traditional packages that they offer. For $5 a more a month you can add the Cloud DVR which gives you 50 hours per month of DVR space.

This new feature is now available for all Roku and Android devices. While it is still limited to Roku device, Android TV hardware, and Android mobile devices, Sling has said it will expand to other devices soon. And yes, the Cloud DVR will appear on the Apple TV Sling TV application in the coming months.

One of the best features of Sling’s DVR offering is that you can have continuous recordings. Unlike traditional DVRs from Comcast or Verizon, you can record multiple shows at the same time, as they won’t cancel each other out. If you use Sling TV on a Roku or Android device, you can Cloud DVR for $5 more a month beginning today.
