The Google Pixelbook might be the surprise product of the day, it is just 10 millimeters thick and weighs 1 kilogram. It has a 4-in-1 design, meaning it can be a laptop, a stand for watching TVs, a tablet for reading, or even tent mode. It will adapt to fit almost environment, whether it be work or play.
Pixelbook has a 12.3-inch Quad HD LCD display, which looks gorgeous. They also developed a new keyboard, that is backlit, with a sweet layout. It is powered by Intel Core’s i5 or i7 processor and you can get up to 10 hours of use from the battery. Google, of course, went with USB-C for charging. And while there isn’t an LTE Chip inside, with Instant Tethering it automatically connects to your Pixel phone’s hotspot.
It is running Chrome OS and is the first laptop have the Google Assistant built-in. There is even a dedicated key to call out the Google Assistant. Google is saying that it will startup insanely fast and that it should never slow down, giving Chrome OS.
And when you are using it in tablet mode, you can use the Pixelbook Pen which has the Google Assistant built-in. This stylus has just 10 milliseconds of latency and 2,000 levels of sensitivity. Given that it is Chrome OS, all the apps you love from Android are on-board–Including for the first time on a device like this, Snapchat.
The Pixelbook will start at $999 and the Pixelbook Pen will start at $99. Pre-orders will start today and it will land on October 31st.
