Dell has already shown off the new XPS 13 a little before the start of CES 2018, but now we get to see the new XPS 15 2-in-1. For 2018, it is built-out of machined aluminum in a platinum silver color with a black carbon fiber composite palm rest. Like the smaller XPS 13, the XPS 15 has an InfinityEdge display.
To be specific, it has a 15.6-inch UltraSharp 4K Ultra HD InfinityEdge touch display with a resolution of 3200 x 1800. You can also get the XPS 15 Full HD InfinityEdge touch variant. This top of the line display gives you 100% Adobe RGB colors and looks gorgeous, it truly is an edge to edge experience. This InfinityEdge technology allows it to pack a 15.6-inch display into a relatively portable 2-in-1, that lets you have multiple styles of use.
For performance, the XPS 15 2-in-1 is powered by either 8th Generation Intel Core i5 or i7 with either Radeon RX Vega M GL graphics clocked at 3.8GHz or 4.1GHz. This can be paired with either 8GB, 16GB, or 32GB of RAM. For storage you can get a 128GBPCIe, 256GB PCIe, 512GB PCIe, or 1TB PCIe SSD. Unlike the 15-inch MacBook Pro, you have plenty of ports on the XPS 15 including two Thunderbolt 3 ports, two USB-C 3.1 ports, a microSD card reader, and a headphone jack.
You also have the advantage of being able to move the display a full 360-degrees, allowing you to use it in a tablet form with Dell Premium Active Pen, which will cost $99 when it lands in April. They have also packed GORE Thermal Insulation to make sure the XPS 15 runs cool and it should last a full 15 hours on a full charge.
The Dell XPS 15 2-in-1 will start at $1,299.99 when it lands this Spring.
