Schlage has been making smart locks for quite some time, after all, they have been in the lock industry for ages. But coming soon the Smart Sense Deadbolt will get smarter, as it will work with the Google Assistant.
Meaning that you would be able to say “Ok Google, can you lock the front door” or “Ok Google, is my door locked.” As have seen at the 2018 Consumer Electronics Show, the Google Assistant is coming to many devices. So it is not just the Google Home or the Google Assistant application for iOS or Android. The connectivity will be added Schlage Smart Sense Deadbolt through the Schlage Sense Wi-Fi Adapter. This enables users to gain remote access to Schlage’s smart lock at a one time purchase cost, with no monthly fee.
Schlage’s Sense Smart Deadbolt locks have already work with Apple’s HomeKit and Amazon’s Alexa standards. The Google Assistant will be rolled out to Schlage’s Sense Smart Deadbolt lock in Quarter 1 of 2018.
