In advance of the upcoming Olympic Games that are being held in South Korea, Apple has a new store opening. Yes, Apple Garosugil will be the technology giants first store in South Korea, and it opens this Saturday.
Apple Garosugil is South of the Han River in the Gangnam Area of South Korea. It features a massive 25-foot glass facade that will overlook trees both inside and out. Apple’s 6K video wall has its home in The Forum, which is in the rear of the store, and will most likely be used for Today at Apple events.
Angela Ahrendts, Apple’s senior vice president of Retail, had this to say about the Garosugil location: “We’re thrilled to open a new home for our customers in the vibrant city of Seoul, and we look forward to continuing to grow in Korea. Our stores are gathering places for the community where everyone is welcome to connect, learn and create.” Apple Garosugil will open its doors this Saturday with 140 teams members.
