Sony has said that its next Xperia phones will bring with them a new design, one that has been called meaningful, and the line needs one. And Sony Xperia’s Twitter account dropped a teaser for their upcoming MWC announcement that has us eagerly guessing.

The company normally uses the Mobile World Congress show to unveil a line of smartphones, and this year will be no different. The teaser shows a hand with some ripples, touch waves, or even air above it. The soothing backing music only adds to the intrigue. I for one am not sure where Sony is going with this, maybe a fingerprint sensor under the screen, strong speakers, or maybe some haptic feed sensors.

Either way, it seems that Sony wants to start the hype train and I am eager to see what is next for the Xperia line. Sony will unveil the surprise or maybe surprises at an event on February 26th at the 2018 Mobile World Congress. They will also be going up against Samsung as they unveil the not-so-secret Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus which have basically leaked completely leaked online ahead of their announcement.
