We have been eagerly awaiting the first Android Go devices to be hitting the market, and it seems that the 2018 Mobile World Congress is the stage to announce them. ZTE just announced the Tempo Go which is the first Android Go phone to be powered by and based on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon platform.
The Tempo Go is running on the Snapdragon 210 Mobile Platform with 1GB of RAM. It has a 5.0-inch FWVGA 480 X 854 display and has 8GB of internal storage that can be expanded via a microSD card slot. ZTE has opted for a 2200mAh battery, a 2-megapixel front camera, a 5-megapixel rear camera, and a headphone jack.
ZTE’s Tempo Go will be running the Android Go version of the Android Oreo operating system which means an affordable device that can still run a specialized version of standard applications efficiently. The ZTE Tempo Go will have support GSM, UMTS, and LTE networks and will cost just $79.99.
