The 90th Academy Awards Ceremony took place on March 4th, providing at-home viewers with an entertaining evening. While the vocal performances were fantastic and the nominated talent received well-deserved recognition, there’s one thing that the internet has not been able to stop talking about: Tiffany Haddish and Maya Rudolph.

The two female comedians took to the stage to present the award for best animated and live action short films. Entering the stage holding their heels and wearing slippers, this immediate joke about the pains women go through for beauty captured audiences off the bat; Tiffany Haddish’s slippers looked even better with her dress than the heels did. The women took the moment to comment and poke fun at the lack of diversity in the film industry and at the Oscars. Both actresses are women of color who used their comedic genius to quip on how the Oscars might be “too black” this year, but not to worry because there would be “a bunch of white people still to come.”

Rudolph and Haddish blew the audience away in what was probably the best bit of the night. The comedic relief was welcome given all of the heavy material presented in this year’s nominations. The internet is talking, and it’s calling for a Tiffany Haddish and Maya Rudolph hosted 91st Oscars.
