Around this time last year both Virgin Mobile and Boost Mobile launched their 4G WiMAX network and the first devices for those networks, flash forward to the present and much has changed. Virgin Mobile and Boost Mobile both currently have 4G LTE networks and now are getting a new landmark device. While the device may have come out last year, it is still a good device. With that Virgin Mobile and Boost Mobile are proud to announced that the Samsung Galaxy S III is coming in June!
The Galaxy S III was Samsung’s flagship device for 2012, but it still has some killer features. Plus, it does have some of the features that the Galaxy S 4 has. It will run on both their 3G and 4G LTE network, they currently have 4G LTE in around 88 markets. Keep in mind that the network is still in the “rollout phase”, so more markets will be coming. The Galaxy S 4 is running Android 4.1.2 Jell Bean with a Samsung user interface, this means it will have the Samsung applications pre-installed as well. Thanks to NFC or Near Field Communications being built inside, you can use S Beam. You can share photos, videos, websites, and more all with the simple tap of compatible devices. It has a 8 megapixel camera with LED flash on the back and a 1.9 megapixel camera on the front. For connectivity you get WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS. It features a 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED touchscreen, this is the largest display on any of the smartphones currently available on either Boost or Virgin Mobile’s lineups. For speed you get a 1.5GHz dual core processor built inside.
On Boost Mobile the Galaxy S III can be paired with the $55 Android Monthly Unlimited plan with Shrinking Payments. For every six payments that are made on time, $5 will be taken off your monthly bill. You can get your bill lowered to as little as $5 a month. This plan offers unlimited talk, text, and data. If you are looking to get the Galaxy S III on Virgin Mobile it can be paired with Beyond Talk plans. These plans start at just $35 a month and help you answer to a higher calling. No pricing or exact availability date have unleashed for either Boost Mobile or Virgin Mobile as of yet, but NJTechReviews will be sure to let you know when it is announced. In the mean time check out the press release below.
